Jon Stewart canceled his planned monologue on 'The Daily Show' after Elmo's Twitter account was hacked with anti-Semitic tweets. He humorously addressed the incident by inviting a puppet version of Elmo to discuss the situation, where Elmo admitted to being radicalized by the manosphere and involved in far-right ideologies, parodying the influence of online extremism. The segment also included satirical commentary on political issues and media responses.
The View hosts engaged in a heated debate over Larry David's recent spat with Elmo, with Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin clashing over the appropriateness of David's actions. The discussion escalated into a meltdown as the hosts argued over whether Elmo is a puppet or a Muppet, with Behar repeatedly emphasizing that it's a puppet. The debate ended with Behar abruptly throwing the show to commercial, and the hosts were all dressed in red in support of raising awareness about cardiovascular disease.
