A 60-year-old female art teacher at La Guicharde secondary school in Sanary-sur-Mer, southeastern France, is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times by a 14-year-old pupil in front of about 20 students; the assailant fled but was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, with prosecutors saying there was no apparent religious or political motive, and the school was evacuated as lessons were canceled while Education Minister Geffray visits.
