Councilmembers Demand Suspension of OPCD Executive Director Following WDSU Investigation
Two New Orleans city council members are calling for the suspension of Tyrell Morris, the executive director of the Orleans Parish Communications District, following allegations of altering public documents and his involvement in a car accident. The council members sent a letter to the OPCD chairman urging immediate suspension, while the mayor has stated she will not seek a suspension. WDSU Investigates confirmed the investigation before Morris announced his resignation, and OPCD has launched its own investigation. The Office of Inspector General is also investigating the accident, focusing on the lack of a police report and potential document alteration.
