Google has committed to providing 7 years of software updates for its Pixel 8 series, surpassing Apple's newly defined minimum support period of 5 years for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, as required by the UK's PSTI regulation. This makes Google Pixel and select Samsung Galaxy smartphones guaranteed to receive more updates than iPhones.
