Lux, the developer behind the popular Halide photography app, has launched Kino, a professional video capture app for iPhones. Kino is designed to leverage the iPhone 15 Pro's ProRes video capabilities and Log format, offering features like Instant Grade presets, AutoMotion for optimal exposure settings, and the ability to add custom LUTs. The app is available for an introductory price of $9.99 and will increase to $19.99 after Friday. Kino supports devices running iOS 17 or higher, though some features are exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro.
