Lawyer Ajay Srivastava, a former Shiv Sena leader, has purchased a small plot of land in Maharashtra's Ratnagiri district at an auction for Rs 2 crore, far above its reserve price, due to its numerological significance to him. The land was previously owned by India's most wanted terrorist, Dawood Ibrahim. Srivastava plans to set up a Sanatan school on the plot. Other properties of Dawood auctioned under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act did not receive bids. Srivastava has a history of buying properties linked to Dawood, including the don's childhood home, and is known for his legal battles to take possession of these properties.
