Activision Blizzard Settles Sex Discrimination Lawsuit for $54 Million
Activision Blizzard has agreed to pay £44.1 million ($56 million) to settle a sex discrimination lawsuit filed by the California Civil Rights Department (CCRD). The settlement resolves claims of unequal pay and promotion practices between 2015 and 2020. £36.85 million ($46.75 million) will be distributed among claimants who alleged unfair pay, while £7.1 million ($9.1 million) will cover legal fees. By agreeing to the settlement, the CCRD's case against Activision Blizzard will be withdrawn, and the company denies allegations of systemic or widespread sexual harassment.
