Cornel West Launches Third-Party Presidential Campaign
Cornel West, a progressive activist and professor, announced his presidential campaign with the People's Party, a third-party led by a former campaign staff member for Senator Bernie Sanders. West emphasized issues such as wages, affordable housing, abortion rights, universal health care, climate change, and "the destruction of American democracy." He decided to run as a third-party candidate because he believes neither political party wants to tell the truth about Wall Street, Ukraine, the Pentagon, and Big Tech.
