Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier Set to Launch New Women's Basketball League
WNBA star Breanna Stewart, along with Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, is helping to launch a new women's professional basketball league called Unrivaled. The league will run from January to March and feature 30 of the top professional women's players split into six teams, playing 3-on-3 and one-on-one basketball games. Unrivaled aims to provide an alternative option for WNBA players to play domestically during the offseason and address the conflicts caused by the WNBA's prioritization rules. The league is set to launch in January 2024 and has assembled a team of business and sports industry leaders to support its establishment.
