Nothing has pulled the beta version of its messaging app, Nothing Chats, from the Google Play Store due to a major privacy contradiction. The app, which aimed to bring iMessage to Android users, required users to log into their iCloud accounts through Sunbird, the messaging platform behind the app. However, Texts.com discovered that messages sent through Sunbird were not encrypted, contradicting Nothing's claim that the app was end-to-end encrypted. This raised concerns about the security of users' Apple ID information and potential access to personal data. The launch of Nothing Chats has been delayed indefinitely while bugs are addressed.
