Ridge Fire Forces Evacuations and Closures in Western Montana
A pre-evacuation notice has been issued for residents in the area of the Ridge Fire in Flathead County, Montana. The notice applies to the east side of Highway 2, north of Spotted Bear Road to West Glacier. The decision was made due to current weather predictions of low humidity and higher winds. Residents are advised to make arrangements for their homes, pets, livestock, and family, and to have an evacuation plan in place. The American Red Cross has established a shelter in Columbia Falls, and the Flathead Sheriff's Office will conduct door-to-door notifications.
