Sherfield, 29, in his eighth season, has 124 NFL games (89 receptions for 1,034 yards and 6 touchdowns) after stints with multiple teams; he joined New England’s practice squad on Jan. 13 and was released on Jan. 24, 2026.
After their 2025 season, the Denver Broncos signed six players — Levelle Bailey, Caleb Lohner, Jordan Miller, Cody Schrader, Calvin Throckmorton and Deuce Vaughn — to future contracts; Bailey and Throckmorton appeared in regular-season games this year, and all six finished the year on Denver's practice squad.
