French Quarter Festival and Strawberry Fest overcome weather obstacles.
The French Quarter Festival and Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival have reopened after being temporarily closed due to thunderstorms and heavy rains in the New Orleans Metro area. The Strawberry Festival reopened at 2 p.m. and the French Quarter Fest reopened at 3 p.m. on a case-by-case basis.
