Nicola Sturgeon questioned and arrested in financial inquiry.
Former Scottish First Minister and independence supporter, Nicola Sturgeon, was questioned by Police Scotland for several hours in connection with an ongoing investigation into her party's finances. Sturgeon, who resigned earlier this year, was released without charge pending further investigation. Two other former or current SNP officials have been arrested in the same probe. Sturgeon said she was "innocent of any wrongdoing" and that finding herself "in this situation" was a "shock."
