NFL Eases Marijuana and Drug Policy Rules for Players
The NFL and the NFL Players Association have revised the league's substance abuse policy, significantly increasing the THC threshold for a positive test from 150 ng/ml to 350 ng/ml. This change, effective immediately, means players can have more THC in their system without testing positive. Additionally, fines for positive tests and missed tests have been reduced, with penalties for multiple violations also lessened. While the general prohibition on marijuana use remains, these changes mark a step towards decriminalization within the league.
