Player's Cardiac Arrest Halts Premier League Match
A Premier League soccer match between Bournemouth and Luton Town was suspended after Luton captain Tom Lockyer suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed on the pitch. Lockyer was carried off on a stretcher and received further treatment inside the stadium before being transferred to the hospital. He is currently stable and undergoing further tests. The match was abandoned due to the incident, as players from both teams were not in the right state of mind to continue. Lockyer had previously collapsed during a Championship playoff final match in May and underwent an operation for atrial fibrillation.
