Pinova factory fire in Georgia contained after evacuation and shelter-in-place orders lifted.
A large fire broke out at the Pinova Plant in Brunswick, Georgia, prompting officials to issue a shelter-in-place order for residents within a mile radius. The fire was contained without injury, and the Red Cross set up a shelter for those needing a place to stay. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and roads nearby were temporarily closed for a flyover drop by Georgia Forestry to help combat the fire. Pinova is a plastic resin manufacturer that produces products for clients in over 100 countries.
