"Serial Killer Investigation: New Leads Uncovered in Gilgo Beach Murders Case"
Detectives are searching a second storage facility belonging to Gilgo Beach murders suspect Rex Heuermann, who had over 200 guns in his home, more than double the number for which he had permits. Investigators are looking for physical evidence, including victim "trophies," at Heuermann's house. Heuermann was tied to the murders through DNA evidence and his activity on burner phones used to arrange meetings with the victims. He is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of three women and is considered the prime suspect in another woman's death. The victims were mostly young women who were sex workers, and authorities believe more than one person may have been involved.
