Prosecutors in the YNW Melly murder trial presented physical evidence that discredits his alibi of a drive-by shooting. The bullets that killed the victims came from the same type of .40 caliber weapon, which has never been recovered. Prosecutors say Melly and co-defendant Cortland Henry tried to cover up the murder by making it look like Henry’s Jeep had been shot at from the outside. The missing windows of the Jeep made it difficult to analyze the bullet trajectories, but prosecutors have said later evidence will show the bullets came from inside the car.
