Taylor Swift's father, Scott Swift, will not face charges for allegedly punching a photographer in Australia while the singer was on tour. The incident occurred as the photographer was taking photos of the pop star and her father at a wharf in Melbourne. The photographer reported the alleged assault to police, but after investigating the incident, the New South Wales Police Force decided not to take further action.
Australian photographer Ben McDonald denies being aggressive and provoking Taylor Swift's father, Scott, before the alleged assault, claiming that he and his colleague were not aggressive and merely discovered where Swift was getting off their yacht. Swift's spokesperson stated that the photographers were aggressively pushing towards Taylor and her security personnel. McDonald alleges that after Swift's security shoved umbrellas at them, Scott charged at him and punched him in the face. An investigation has been launched by the New South Wales police department into the incident.
