Capitals sit Wilson, Carlson out; Leonard added for clash with Flyers
Capitals winger Tom Wilson is sidelined by an illness for tonight’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers, after returning from Olympic duty with Team Canada in Italy. Ryan Leonard will slide into Wilson’s spot on the second line with Connor McMichael and Pierre-Luc Dubois, while Hendrix Lapierre moves to the fourth line. Washington also will be without defenseman John Carlson due to a lower-body injury. Wilson leads the team with 49 points in 50 games this season.
