"Israel-Linked Hackers Shut Down 70% of Iran's Gas Stations in Major Cyberattack"
A hacking group known as Predatory Sparrow, which Iran accuses of having links to Israel, claimed responsibility for a cyberattack that disrupted services at petrol stations across Iran. The disruption affected about 70% of Iran's petrol stations, with Tehran being particularly affected. The group stated that the cyberattack was carried out in a controlled manner to avoid damage to emergency services. Iran's civil defense agency is investigating the incident and considering all possible causes. This is the first such incident since 2021 when a major cyberattack disrupted fuel sales in Iran. Israel has not yet commented on the cyberattack.
