Multiple Suicide Attacks Rock Peshawar, Leaving Death and Destruction
A suicide bombing in Peshawar, Pakistan, targeted a truck carrying paramilitary troops, leaving at least eight people wounded. The attack was claimed by Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan, a newly founded armed group. Last week, the same group attacked a military base in Balochistan, killing four soldiers. The blast damaged the truck and nearby vehicles carrying civilians, while the attacker was killed. Pakistan's army expressed concern over fighters finding safe havens in Afghanistan and threatened an "effective response" after 12 soldiers died in recent attacks.
