Enhanced Security and Exciting Additions Await at the Minnesota State Fair
The Minnesota State Fair is implementing several safety changes for its 2023 event, including increasing the number of officers by 30% and partnering with federal agencies such as the FBI and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The fair will also have around-the-clock patrols, undercover officers, enhanced fencing, additional metal detectors, and extra barricades to prevent vehicle attacks. Smoking marijuana will not be allowed on the fairgrounds, and the safety and security budget has nearly doubled compared to 2019.
