Massive Hot Dog Recall in Ohio Due to Mislabeling and Undeclared Allergens
Over 3,000 pounds of fully-cooked hot dogs produced by Perdue Premium Meat Company have been recalled in Ohio due to misbranding and an undisclosed allergen. The vacuum-sealed packages labeled as beef wieners were found to contain smoked sausages instead, which contain milk, an allergen not listed on the label. The recall affects 2-lbs. packages with specific lot and case codes, and a sell-by date of 8/1/23.
