Golfer Lee Hodges was hit with a one-stroke penalty at the PGA Championship after his ball paused on the edge of the cup for more than 10 seconds before dropping in. Hodges was putting to save par at the 17th hole when the incident occurred, and he was subsequently penalized under Rule 13.3a of the Rules of Golf. Despite the penalty, Hodges made the cut on his debut at the major, finishing 10-over overall. Jordan Spieth is four strokes ahead of Hodges at six-over overall.
