White Sox Make Roster Moves and Bench Players for Lack of Hustle in Losses
Chicago White Sox manager Pedro Grifol benched rookie catcher Korey Lee after he failed to run out a pop-up during a 10-0 loss to the Detroit Tigers. Lee explained that he lost sight of the ball and thought it was behind him, but Grifol benched him nonetheless, stating that it was not the type of baseball they wanted to play. The White Sox had a sloppy night overall, with questionable plays throughout the game. In other news, Luis Robert Jr. was scratched from the game due to a cramp in his right quad, and pending free agent Mike Clevinger expressed concerns about being put on waivers.
