Unveiling the Unlikely Blockbuster: The 'Sound of Freedom' Under Scrutiny
The independently made thriller "Sound of Freedom" has become an unlikely blockbuster at the summer box office, but it has also faced multiple controversies. Star Jim Caviezel's reported ties to QAnon and allegations of inflated crowdfunding have raised concerns. Additionally, executive producer Paul Hutchinson and Tim Ballard, the former Homeland Security special agent whose life story inspired the film, are both facing sexual misconduct allegations. Ballard, who founded Operation Underground Railroad (OUR) to combat child sex trafficking, has resigned from OUR amid a sexual misconduct investigation involving seven women. Hutchinson is accused of touching the naked breasts of a 16-year-old trafficking survivor, although no charges were filed. Both Ballard and Hutchinson have denied the allegations.
