Navjot Singh Sidhu, a top Congress leader, will be released from Patiala Jail on Saturday after serving one year in a road-rage incident that occurred 34 years ago. His wife, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, who is battling cancer, shared an emotional tweet ahead of his release, saying that she "asked for death" from God to "teach Sidhu a lesson". Sidhu was convicted by the Supreme Court in 2022 for the incident, in which a man was killed.
