Diablo 4 patch 1.0.4 hotfix 1 and 2 have been released, addressing a game-breaking issue with the Necromancer skill, Blood Lance. The skill, when combined with the legendary aspect 'Hungry Blood,' caused server performance issues. The hotfix temporarily reduces the skill's effect until a rework is implemented. Additionally, rare items that were temporarily disabled due to an exploit have been reintroduced.
Blizzard has released a hotfix for Diablo 4 Patch 1.0.4, temporarily nerfing the Necromancer class due to performance issues with the Blood Lance skill. The hotfix limits the skill to piercing a maximum of 10 enemies. This change is temporary while the development team reworks the Legendary Aspect, which is expected to be implemented during Season 1 or shortly after. The hotfix also includes stability improvements and changes to the Whisper Cache. Diablo 4 Season 1, called "Season of the Malignant," will introduce new gear, a boss battle, powers, and a questline, with renown carrying over for new seasonal characters.
