"Fatal Deputy-Involved Shooting Caught on Bodycam in Pasco County"
Bodycam video released by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office shows a deputy shooting a suspect, Paul Smith, in the back after Smith attempted to flee in an SUV while the deputy was attempting to apprehend him. The deputy had recognized Smith as a suspect in a violent case and attempted to stop him, but Smith drove off with the deputy hanging onto the vehicle. Despite the deputy's warnings and attempts to taze Smith, the suspect refused to stop, leading to the deputy firing his weapon. The suspect later died, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the incident.
