Solo game developer and Twitch streamer Crimson has unveiled The Day After, a parody of The Day Before's gameplay trailers created using Unreal Engine 5 and $1500 worth of marketplace assets. The project, which started in March 2023, was completed after over 300 hours of work and aims to recreate a trailer rather than develop an entire game. Crimson plans to explore the survival genre more seriously in the future, potentially creating a fully-fledged co-op zombie shooter after finishing their current game, Suit for Hire.
