A teacher at Taylor Preparatory High School in Michigan alleges she was fired because she refused to erase material she created for her rap career, after a parent complained about her content. The teacher, who goes by the stage name Drippin’ Honey, claims she was given an ultimatum to remove the content but refused, and was subsequently terminated.
The Davis School District in Utah has removed the Bible from elementary and middle school libraries after a parent's complaint cited the state's law banning books containing "pornographic or indecent" material. The district's committee determined that the Bible does not violate the law but should be limited to high school-aged students. The decision is being appealed by another parent. The district has also received a request to review the Book of Mormon for inappropriate content.
