IDF Prepares to Demolish West Bank Home of Tel Aviv Shooter
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) measured the home of Kamel Abu Bakr, the Palestinian gunman who killed a security guard in Tel Aviv, in preparation for its possible demolition. Abu Bakr, a member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group, was shot dead by a patrol officer's colleague after critically injuring the security guard. Israel regularly demolishes the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out terror attacks, a practice criticized by human rights activists as unjust collective punishment. The IDF also reported a Palestinian rioter hurling an explosive device during the operation.
