The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a warning and recall for 8.4 million Procter and Gamble Tide Pods, Gain Flings, Ace Pods, and Ariel Pods due to unsafe packaging that could pose a serious risk to children and vulnerable populations. The flexible film bags are not child resistant and can split open, potentially leading to ingestion and skin or eye injuries. While there have been no confirmed injuries directly related to this packaging defect, consumers are advised to secure the recalled bags out of reach of children and contact Procter & Gamble for a refund and replacement child-resistant bag.
