Rihanna will star as Smurfette in an upcoming untitled "Smurfs" animated film, where she will also create and perform original music and serve as a producer. The film will be released on February 14, 2025, and will be directed by Chris Miller and Matt Landon. The screenplay was written by Pam Brady, and Ryan Harris, Laurence “Jay” Brown, and Tyran “Ty-Ty” Smith will produce. This will be Rihanna's second animated feature and her first time voicing a character in the "Smurfs" franchise.
