Grubhub cuts 400 jobs in corporate layoff.
Grubhub is cutting 15% of its corporate workforce, which will impact around 400 employees, in an effort to ensure long-term viability in the highly competitive online food delivery sector. CEO Howard Migdal said the company needs to rightsize its business to become more agile and take advantage of opportunities. The decision was made after speaking with restaurants and diners to better understand their needs and challenges. Grubhub was acquired by Just Eat Takeaway.com in 2021.
