Kenyan runner Hellen Obiri won the Boston Marathon women’s race for the second consecutive year while wearing an unreleased On running sneaker, making her the first woman to defend her title in Boston since 2004. Little is known about the sneaker, which is still in development, but it appears to be different from the CloudTri 1 that she wore for her 2023 World Marathon Major wins. Obiri, who switched from Nike to On in 2022, also won the 2023 New York City Marathon and moved to the United States to train with On Athletics Club in Boulder, Colo.
