Russia's Aging Tanks Signal Shortage in Ukraine, But Are They Still Effective?
Open-source researchers have found evidence that Russia is shipping Stalin-era tanks, some first deployed more than 70 years ago, west, possibly indicating a shortage of armor for Moscow's forces on the front in Ukraine. The T-54 and T-55 tanks were spotted aboard a train departing from Arsenyev in the Primorsky Krai region of Russia's Far East, heading west. The use of such outdated equipment could lead to higher casualties and is a sign of severe issues with military vehicle supply.
