Officer Jeann Lugo of the Providence Police Department, who was seen apparently asleep behind the wheel of his cruiser in a social media video, has been placed on probation for six months and received a two-day unpaid suspension. Lugo had previously faced controversy when he was acquitted of a simple assault charge after punching Jennifer Rourke during an abortion rally. The department had sought Lugo's termination, but a LEOBOR panel overturned the decision and issued a suspension instead.
