Submersible Tragedies Leave Mourning Families and Calls for Investigation
Paul-Henri Nargeolet, a Titanic expert and respected French Navy veteran, was one of five men aboard the OceanGate submersible that imploded during an expedition to the sunken remains of the Titanic. All five passengers are presumed dead. Nargeolet's friend and fellow oceanic explorer, Tom Dettweiler, mourns his loss and hopes that the tragedy will improve the safety of all submersible operations. The wreckage will undergo forensic analysis to determine what led to the explosion.
