"Massive Toyota Recall: 1.12 Million Vehicles at Risk for Air Bag Problems"

Toyota is recalling 1.12 million vehicles worldwide, including 1 million in the United States, due to a potential air bag issue caused by a short circuit in a sensor. The recall covers various models from 2020 to 2022, such as Avalon, Camry, Corolla, RAV4, Lexus ES, RX350, Highlander, and Sienna Hybrid. The Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensors may not work properly, leading to air bags not deploying correctly. The sensors are designed to prevent air bag deployment if a small adult or child is in the front seat. Toyota dealers will inspect and replace the sensors as necessary, with notifications to owners starting in February.
