Multiple Bomb Threats Prompt Evacuations at Oak Park and Yolo County Libraries
Oak Park Police have determined that a threat received by the Oak Park Public Library, which warned of explosions across Cook County highways and libraries, is not credible. Following a police search of all three library branches, no concerning items were found. The library remained closed on Monday but will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday. Library officials expressed gratitude to the community and local police for their support and patience. Similar threats were received by several libraries in northern suburbs, but no explosives were found or detonated.
