Linux 6.10 is set to merge the NTSYNC driver for emulating Windows NT synchronization primitives within the kernel, aiming to improve performance for running Windows games and apps on Linux through Wine and Valve's Steam Play. The driver provides kernel support for emulating Windows NT synchronization primitives and is exposed as a misc character device, with the patches queued for the Linux 6.10 merge window opening up in May and expected to debut as stable this summer.
