Bay Area Braces for Cold Snap and Rainy Week Ahead

A cold snap is expected to hit the Bay Area, bringing below-average temperatures across most of the region. Inland valleys in the North Bay and East Bay will experience some of the lowest nighttime temperatures, with freezing temperatures possible across Northern California. The shift toward northwest winds is thanks to two distant low-pressure systems thousands of miles away that are pushing cold air from as far as Alaska toward California.
