Police are still investigating the motive behind the shooting, which was captured on the hotel's security cameras.

Mysterious Meteor Lights Up Northern Minnesota with Explosive Boom

Authorities in northern Minnesota suspect that a meteor caused a bright flash and loud boom felt across parts of the region on Monday evening. Beltrami County Emergency Management received numerous reports of a bright blue/white flash in the sky followed by an incredibly loud explosion. Home surveillance video captured the blast, which shook windows, walls, and rattled dishes. County authorities speculate it was a meteor and will follow up with other agencies for further investigation.
