Brush Fires Disrupt NJ Transit and Amtrak Services.
Multiple brush fires caused by sparks emitted by a freight train have disrupted NJ Transit and Amtrak rail service along the Northeast Corridor Line between New York Penn Station and Trenton. Service has resumed between New York Penn Station and Metropark, but Amtrak service is suspended between New York Penn Station and Philadelphia. Customers are advised to seek alternate transportation and rail tickets and passes are being cross-honored by PATH at Newark Penn Station and 33rd Street.
