Gael Monfils Triumphs in Stockholm, Ending Two-Year Title Drought
Gael Monfils wins his 12th ATP Tour title and his first in nearly two years by defeating qualifier Pavel Kotov in three sets at the Nordic Open final in Stockholm. Monfils, at 37 years old, became the oldest finalist in the tournament's history. Kotov, ranked No. 109, had an impressive run to the final after going through qualifying and four more rounds in the tournament. Monfils' previous title was in Adelaide in January 2022.
