HMD Global Launches Nokia XR21 5G Phone, Begins European Manufacturing
HMD Global, the company behind the Nokia brand, has launched its first smartphone manufactured in Europe, specifically in Hungary. The limited edition 5G Nokia XR21, known for its durability and sustainability, is the first device off the production line. HMD Global aims to meet the demand from enterprises for locally-produced hardware to address security and sustainability concerns. The company plans to make a further 302 smartphones available under the "European Edition" branding. This move is part of HMD Global's strategy to cater to specific customers who prioritize sovereignty and localization.
