Paramount+: Star Trek: Starfleet Academy will conclude with its second season, which has wrapped production, and the studio released an official statement along with a showrunner letter indicating the finale will close the story with a cliffhanger. There is no Season 3 or current Trek TV in production, while Kurtzman’s Trek role and the franchise plan are in flux amid corporate changes; Paramount reiterates its commitment to Star Trek and is pursuing multiple film projects (including one from Goldstein and Daley). Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2027.
